Past Events - 2004/2005 Session

The 2004/05 session saw record attendances at local Surrey Branch meetings, in part as result of our changing focus towards providing networking opportunities for business leaders, academics, engineers and indeed anyone with an interest in how technology shapes society. The technical content of our programme was also outstanding, delivering a balance of highly topical (e.g. ID card debate), leading edge (Blu-ray, DRM, Type 45) and broad interest (Rebuilding Concorde, Micro satellites) events. The younger members continued to drive the theme that engineering and fun can go together with events like the Quiz & Curry night, Summer BBQ and Lifeskills workshops.
