Newsfeed and email subscription

The IET Surrey Mailing List is an automated mailing list which allows subscribers to be kept up to date on the events and activities in the local area. The list is moderated and will be used to:

• Remind subscribers of forthcoming events.
• Advise of late changes or additions in the programme.
• Promote any other information which may be of interest to members.

The service is available to any interested parties, it's not necessary to be a member of the IET.

Note: IET Members who subscribe to emails from the main IET website and reside in Surrey may also receive similar information from www.theiet.org.

For news and information from the IET in Surrey that you control, you can subscribe to our news service.

This up to the minute feed of information follows the same format as the newsfeeds offered by The BBC and an increasing number of websites. If you're using Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox 2.0, you'll find the orange RSS symbol already lit up on the toolbar or in the address box, so you can read/subscribe straight away.

If you're using Windows Vista, you can choose this information to appear automatically in the Windows sidebar feed reading gadget.

In Microsoft Outlook 2007, you can also see this feed in your newsfeed folder.
